Pay-per-game suits a short visit; a time ticket suits moving between experiences; a birthday package bundles activity and hosting. Don’t compare a single-game price to an event package — they are different products.
First, decide what you’re buying
The cost of an outing depends on three things: how many kids take part, how long you want to stay, and whether you also need food and a celebration setup. Once you define those, it’s easier to see which offer fits the budget. The three common ways to pay: • Single games, via a card or a loaded balance — you pay for the games you choose. Worth checking the price in shekels of the games you want, the loading terms, and what happens to any unused balance. • A ticket for a set time — a visit within a time frame, according to the activities the ticket includes. Worth checking which activities are included, whether there are usage limits, and how it works when a station is taken. • A birthday package — a coordinated event with a defined content and participant count. Worth comparing activity time vs. food time, the price of an extra child, what’s included, and whether the hosting area is private or shared. A short visit of a few games can suit pay-as-you-go. Someone who wants to move between experiences over a set time may prefer a time ticket. When the goal is to celebrate with a group and food, compare event packages against one another.
A loaded card: turning game choices into a shekel budget
In the single-games model, the amount depends on what you choose and how many times you play. It’s worth understanding in advance how many shekels each play represents, especially when there are different loading packs or bonuses. If the price is shown in points or in-house coins, ask to understand the cost in shekels for the loading pack you pick. The outing budget is the amount you actually pay, even if some of the balance stays on the card for another visit. Before loading, choose with the kids a few games that interest them and check their cost. An illustrative calculation only: five games at 10 ₪ each are 50 ₪ per child. A time ticket: check what’s inside, not just the minutes
A time ticket gives a different planning frame. At Space Run VR, a regular ticket is 138 ₪ for 90 minutes. During the visit you move between stations and experiences with the staff’s guidance. At busy times there may be a wait; the length of the visit is not a promise of 90 minutes of continuous play at any station you pick. To compare with a ticket elsewhere, check what it actually includes. Is it one experience or moving between activities? Does everyone play together, or in shifts? Is the activity the child most wants included? Our regular ticket does not include the food part of the birthday package and does not require booking a time in advance. A group that wants an organised event should check the package that fits it.
For a birthday, compare the time around the game too
Two hours at a venue can be split differently in each offer. Compare the activity time and the hosting time separately. At Space Run the birthday package is 90 minutes of VR activity followed by 30 minutes at the food table, in a shared venue. In our package, pizza, drinks and snacks are included; cake is not included. There’s no promise of a separate room. When comparing offers, note food, hosting time, privacy and guidance separately. That way you won’t discover, after choosing the place, that you compared packages with different contents.
How much does adding kids to the package cost?
A base-package price and an extra-child price are two different numbers. At Space Run, for example, a 10-participant package is 1,518 ₪ and an added participant within the 10-pack is 138 ₪. Don’t calculate the base package as 10 times 138. • 10 participants — base package: 1,518 ₪. • 15 participants — the 10-pack plus 5 participants at 138 ₪ each: 2,208 ₪. • 20 participants — base package: 2,816 ₪. Final count and availability are confirmed with the team.
One message that helps you compare offers
You can send every place the same request: "We’re planning an outing or a birthday for ___ participants on ___ at ___. We’d like a total price for this group, the activity time and food time, what’s included, the cost of an extra participant, change or cancellation terms, and whether the hosting area is private or shared." When you get answers for the same group and the same requirements, the price gains meaning.
